Are your Company's Training Manuals in Order? During an ISO 9000 Audit About 70% of the findings are document oriented.
Training Records: - Poor training
- Redundant documentation
- A lack of work instructions
- Absence of work instruction
Controlled Documents: - Inappropriately marked up
- Poor Planning for updates
- Review of record maintenance
ISO 9000 requires that all documentation be current and properly signed off. - How can you adapt to this process with more than one database?
- How many databases do you have in your company?
- Are you aware that data used to create a simple graphic for a presentation you are performing is a statistical technique and, therefore, a written procedure is required? Once in the system it has to be controlled and it must be reviewed and approved by appropriate personnel before being issued and again every time it has been changed.
- What is the process for redundant documentation and if documentation is retained, what appropriate steps are taken that it is not used accidentally?
- Does all your equipment, factory or office have documentation when it was last serviced?
- Are the people who operate the equipment aware if you have a service contract and with whom they should contact if anything goes wrong?
- Do you have a back-up plan for equipment failure and has the back-up equipment been qualified (this may not apply to all businesses) for that task?
- Does your management system include feedback on what the customer really wants? This does not apply to items that are built to customer’s specification.
- Are your manuals or documents inappropriately marked-up?
